The Galapagos Islands is one of the most exciting destinations in the world for diving, enjoy it aboard Aggressor III cruise.

Guests will have the opportunity to dive with playful Sea Lions, travel to the famous Darwin and Wolf for thrilling diving to see Hammerhead Sharks, Whale Sharks, clouds of Tuna and much more. The scenic view of the Darwin Arch is as picturesque as you can imagine. The Galapagos Aggressor departs from Baltra every Thursday afternoon and are the perfect platform for a Galapagos diving holiday that you will remember for a lifetime.

Our goal is to provide you with the ultimate Galapagos Live Aboard diving experience. The Galapagos Aggressor offers a brand new itinerary in compliance with the Galapagos National Park regulations which requires companies with permits to follow the exact itinerary below. A maximum of four dives will be offered daily; two in the morning and two in the afternoon. In addition, two night dives and two land excursions per week will be offered.

The new diving areas added to the itinerary are: Bartolome Punta, Cousins Rock and Cabo Douglas. The Galapagos National Park grants approval for normal itineraries and accepts requests for special itineraries.

Guests will be met by a crewmember in uniform at the Baltra Airport and transferred to the yachts. Guests will board Thursday at 1 pm. Diving on your Galapagos LiveAboard cruise begins Thursday afternoon through Wednesday morning. Guests will depart the yachts Wednesday after lunch for a private bus tour to the Highlands of Santa Cruz Island. Checkout is Thursday morning at 8 am after a full breakfast. Transportation is provided back to the Baltra Airport for the flight to the mainland.

ITINERARY

The weeklong trip on the Galapagos Aggressor III starts and ends in Baltra every Thursday.

The Galapagos Aggressor III itinerary in compliance with the Galapagos National Park regulations which requires companies with permits to follow an exact itinerary. A maximum of four dives will be offered daily; two in the morning and two in the afternoon. In addition, one night dive and two land excursions per week will be offered.

New diving areas have been added to the itinerary: Bartolome Punta, Cousins Rock and Cabo Douglas. The Galapagos itinerary is controlled by the National Park who grants approval for normal itineraries.

Cruise (Thur – Thur) – 8 days / 7 nights

Day 1: Thursday:
Baltra Airport, afternoon Greeting by Crew, Bus Transfer to the Dock and Boarding.
Welcome and orientation Dive at Punta Carrion at Itabaca Channel.

Day 2: Friday:
AM – 2  morning dives; Punta Carrion (Santa Cruz Island) and Bartolome Punta.
PM –  1 afternoon dive at Bartolome Punta and hike to Bartolome Summit.

Day 3: Saturday:
January to May:
AM – 2 morning dives at Darwin
PM –  2 afternoon dives at Wolf.

June to December:
AM – 2 morning dives at Darwin.
PM – 2 afternoon dives at Darwin.

Day 4: Sunday:
January to May:
AM – 2 morning dives at Wolf
PM –  2 afternoon dives at Wolf.

June to December:
AM – 2 morning dives at Wolf
PM – 1 afternoon and 1 night dive.

Day 5: Monday:
January to May:
AM – 4 dives at Cabo Marshall; 2 morning dives
PM – 1 afternoon and 1 night dive. 

June to December:
AM – 2 morning dives at Darwin
PM –  2 afternoon dives at Wolf.

Day 6: Tuesday:
AM – 2 morning dives at Cabo Douglas.
PM –  2 afternoon dives at Punta Vicente Roca.

Day 7: Wednesday:
1 morning dive at Cousins Rock. Wednesday afternoon arrive at Itabaca Channel. After lunch guests will disembark at 1 pm to go ashore for a private bus tour to see the beautiful Highlands of Santa Cruz Island. This will include Los Gemelos (The Twins, two enormous sinkholes), Scalesia Forest for a scenic view over Santa Cruz, a Tortoise Reserve to see giant tortoises, and Lava Tubes.

After the hike, guests can walk through town, shop and visit the tortoise-breeding center Fausto Llerena at the Charles Darwin Research Station. Guests will have dinner ashore at a local restaurant of their choice (only meal not included in the cruise). The Galapagos Aggressor will move from Itabaca Channel to Puerto Ayora. At 10 pm the boat will depart for Baltra.

Day 8: Thursday:
Guests will have a full breakfast then check out and depart to the Baltra Airport.

Diving Environment:

  • June – November: The water is cooler, 60-75F, 16-24C; Whale Shark sightings are greater.
  • December – May: The water is warmer, clearer 70-86F, 21-30C; Larger schools of Hammerhead Sharks, Manta Rays and Eagle Rays.
  • All dives from tenders.
  • 5 – 7mm wetsuit recommended.

The Yacht:
The Galapagos Aggressor III is 100 feet long, built and powered for comfort, safety and stability. She is diesel powered, cruise at an average speed of 10 knots and have 110 and 220 volt power onboard. Comfortable accommodations include four deluxe cabins which have two twin beds and three portholes and six master cabins with a queen bed (which can be modified to 2 twin beds) and a large window. Each cabin has a private toilet, shower, hair dryer, TV/Blue Ray DVD, stereo CD player, temperature controls and safe storage box. The Galapagos Aggressor III sleeps 16 guests in privacy and comfort.

The Galapagos Aggressor III has a beautiful spacious salon, large sun deck with shading, chaise lounges and deck chairs, bar, grill, hot tub, and a complete photo/video center. The onboard video format is both NTSC and PAL. The yacht is not responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen items. We highly recommend extremely caution and care be taken if you plan to travel onboard with electronic equipment. This equipment should always be stowed after use to avoid the risk of damage.

Additional Services:

Rental Dive Equipment: 
A full line of Aqua Lung rental gear is available aboard including regulators, BCs and dive computers. You may rent a 7mm wetsuit with hood for $70 per week. If any of your dive equipment fails while onboard, the crew will loan you equipment free of charge, compliments of Aqua Lung.

Certification & Specialty Courses: 
Several diving specialty courses are offered onboard including Nitrox, Advanced Open Water, UW Photography, Master Diver and more.

Photo/Video Equipment:
The Galapagos Aggressor III offers a complete digital photo facility including a PC for downloading photos. The Photo pro is available for free coaching with equipment rental. Photo equipment is available to rent separately or as a complete set up. The Galapagos Aggressor III has a strobe charging station and large camera table available for your camera and video equipment. Guests should bring their own battery chargers.

Underwater Video/DVD: 
The Video Professional can capture your diving adventure onboard the yachts to share with family and friends. The video of the week/DVD (includes all guests and crew) is $65 USD.

Ships Boutique & Credit Cards: 
There is a mini-boutique onboard with assorted t-shirts and miscellaneous items. Due to limited availability, we recommend bringing extra batteries and CD/DVD’s for photos. The Galapagos Aggressor III accepts cash, traveler’s checks, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
